Chris Sutton has revealed that he feels that Celtic’s new signing Marvin Compper to have no problems getting regular game time for the first team.
Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers managed to convince Compper to join the Scottish giants from RB Leipzig this month and the 32-year-old will add quality as well as experience to the backline.
After finding himself not earning regular game time Leipzig this season, Compper had initially been planning to remain with the German club and transition into coaching.
He will not be eligible to play for the Hoops during their Europa League last 32 clash against Zenit St Petersburg but Sutton believes that the player should have no problems establishing himself at Parkhead.
“I would expect so”, he said on a Ladbrokes Facebook Live when asked if he thinks Compper will be put in the team straight away.
“He can’t play in the Europa League against Zenit, which I think some Celtic fans are unhappy about. It’s been a problem area so you get the best centre half in possible. He hasn’t played a lot of football this season, but you’ve got to give him a chance”
