Tottenham not in the race to sign Brazilian star says Spanish expert

Reliable Journalist Guillem Balague has claimed that Tottenham are not in the running to sign talented Bordeaux winger Malcolm.

The Brazilian has impressed in the Ligue 1 with his skills and speed this season and has been linked with moves to Spurs as well as Arsenal.

Tottenham do have a history of recruiting players from France and have signed the likes of Benjamin Stambouli, Clinton Njie, Etienne Capoue and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou from there during the past few years.

Balague who regularly brings news from inside the game however has claimed that Arsenal are more likely to succeed in signing the player than are Spurs.

Balague said: “I know for a fact that Malcolm is of interest to Arsenal, but it is not all agreed. Spurs are not in the equation, it had been heard that they were linked to him, and what a signing he will be.

“He is a left-footed player who plays on the right-hand side with a lot of pace, he is very direct, a very good dribbler and very, very fast so we’ll see.”
