Hearts reportedly enter the race for Rangers target

According to the reports from Daily Record, Hearts have entered the race for the signature of Steven Naismith, as Norwich City officials look to offload the former Rangers player in January transfer window.

Their Premiership rivals Rangers and Kilmarnock have both been linked to a possible move for the 31-year-old midfielder.

The Scottish international has recently stressed his desire to return to his homeland. On the other hand, Norwich manager Daniel Farke doesn’t object to Naismith departure, as he is not counting on the player for the second half of the season.

Hearts forward Kyle Lafferty could be a relevant asset for bringing Naismith at Tynecastle Park, as they already played together for Rangers.

Graeme Murty would also like to reinforce his midfield, as Rangers are trying to close the gap on Celtic and, Gers manager believes that experienced player such as Naismith could still make the difference in the domestic championship.
