Liverpool reportedly join in the race for Championship star

Liverpool have reportedly joined in the race to sign Norwich youngster James Madison.

The 21-year-old has been in sensational form in the Championship this season and has gone on to score six goals already while he has also contributed another five.

He was also praised for the way in which he played for his club when they took on the Canaries in the FA Cup. With Alex Pritchard already having left the Canaries this month, they will naturally be hesitant to part ways with Madison.

Despite having to potentially face competition, Liverpool and Spurs are said to be willing to wait till the summer to sign the player. Norwich signed Madison from Coventry in 2016 for a fee of £2 million.

Liverpool were interested in signing him at the time, however he instead preferred a move to Norwich, probably as a result of being assured of first team action.
