Aston Villa reportedly monitoring Irish prodigy

According to the Get West London, Aston Villa scouts are monitoring the situation around Irish wonderkid Chiedozie Ogbene, who currently plays for Limerick in Ireland Premier Division. Chelsea and Brentford have both shown their appreciation for the youngster.

The 20-year-old is a versatile midfielder who can cover almost any position in the center of the pitch. Ogbene’s primary position is the right-midfielder, but he can also play on the left side, and behind the strikers.

This season, the talented footballer has scored eleven goals in 41 games in the domestic championship, and his amazing performances drew attention from some important clubs in the UK.

Ogbene’s contract is set to expire in six months, and there were no discussions about a possible extension, so all interested clubs can already negotiate personal terms directly with the player.

Manager Steve Bruce will have to put serious efforts to bring the athlete at Villa Park, as Brentford are looking to catch the player already in January.
