The agent of Roma goalkeeper Alisson has played down speculation that the shot-stopper will join Liverpool.
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly having the Brazil international scouted with a view to bringing him to England in June.
Ze Maria Neis has however insisted that there has been no contact with the Reds.
He told Pagineromaniste.com: “Up to now I have not been contacted by anyone. Discussions with Roma on the renewal? But there are still three and a half years left until the deadline, and we are not in a hurry. Alisson is very happy with Roma.”
Liverpool have been sloppy in defence this season, with their goalkeeping department in particular proving to be problematic.
Both Loris Karius and first-choice Simon Mignolet have failed to prove that they can be long-term first choice shot-stoppers and the Reds may need to buy a reliable keeper if they want to challenge for major trophies.
