Tottenham reportedly keen on quality talent available for just £5million

Spurs are said to be willing to offer £5 million for the 18-year old who has managed to impress since breaking into the Gent first team this season.

The youngster has already been capped for the Georgia national team and his creativity and technical proficiency has reportedly caught the eye.

Chakvetadze arrived at Gent just six months ago after impressive at the European U-19 Championships and scoring Georgia’s winner against Sweden during the group stages.

The Belgian giants beat German clubs Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen in the race to sign the player.

Should Spurs manage to sign Chakvetadze, the likelihood is that he will be thrown into the clubs U-23 side rather than the clubs first team.

It remains to be seen whether the player prefers first team action in Belgium or reserve team action for Spurs.
