Michael Owen has predicted that Tottenham will win their game against AFC Wimbledon during the weekend.
Spurs will face off against the League One outfit at the Wembley Stadium in a third round FA Cup game on Sunday afternoon.
Due to their superior quality and good form at the moment, Spurs should be able to easily win this game comfortably and it is hard to see them losing this.
However upsets do happen in major tournaments and Mauricio Pochettino’s side are likely to rest many of their key players for the game in order to preserve them for their upcoming key Premier League and Champions League games.
Owen wrote on Betvictor.com: “Spurs have failed to reach the 4th Round just once in the last 11 seasons and it is hard to see the Dons bucking that trend in the club’s second ever competitive visit to Wembley.
“AFC Wimbledon beat Plymouth 2-0 in the 2016 League Two Play-Off Final on that occasion, but they are likely to come up short against a Spurs side who should have too much class for Sunday’s visitors.”
