Tottenham reportedly make enquiry for attacker available for £35.5 million

Foot Mercato has claimed that Tottenham have made an enquiry for Porto striker Moussa Marega.

Marega has enjoyed a stellar season and has so far scored 13 goals and supplied six assists in all competitions which has helped his side advance to the last 16 of the Champions League where they will face off against Liverpool.

The report adds that Porto will not be willing to part ways with their striker unless they receive a good offer and he has a release clause of £35.5 million.

Spurs have struggled to find a good backup striker to Harry Kane with both Vincent Janssen and Fernando Llorente having struggled in the role during the past 18 months.

Spurs cannot always expect to rely on Kane and they will definitely need to find a good cover option for him.

However it is unlikely that Spurs will manage to land the player this month and if he does become available, they will face serious competition.
