Aston Villa and Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing Newcastle’s Jack Colback this month.
Colback is surplus to requirements at St James Park and has he has not featured for the Magpies in any League or Cup matches, it is likely that they will allow him to leave the club this month.
Manager Rafa Benitez will also be looking to free up space within his cash-strapped side this month so that he can bring in new recruits this month to boost his sides chances of avoiding relegation.
Villa are not short of options in midfield as they have the likes of Henri Lansbury, Conor Hourihane,Glenn Whelan and Mile Jedinak to call upon to name but just a few.
The Claret and Blue are however still looking to bolster their side as they hope to increase the chances of winning promotion.
Sunderland are another club that has been credited with interest in Colback.
