According to the Mirror, 21-year-old West Ham centre-back Reece Burke is attracting as many as 6 Championship outfits following a successful and impressive loan at Bolton.
The English youngster is back at east London having spent the last 5 months at the Macron Stadium, and while he has a chance to convince manager David Moyes in training that he is deserving of a spot in the squad, another loan move till the end of the campaign looks more likely.
Alongside the Wanderers, Sunderland, Nottingham Forest, Barnsley, Sheffield United and Derby County are all keen on Burke.
Burke’s only 5 league appearances for the Hammers came back in 2014-15 when Sam Allardyce was in charge, and while he remains highly thought of by the club, he’s largely seen as one for the future.
The West Ham youth product started 12 Championship games, making 2 other appearances off the bench and weighing in a goal.
While Moyes could do with more depth at the back, letting Burke go continue his development by playing regularly is best bet for both parties, and chances are he will return a better defender capable of challenging for first team roles by summer.
