West Ham’s 21-year-old reportedly wanted by six clubs

According to a report published by The Mirror, West Ham youngster Reece Burke is wanted by six Championship clubs this month.

The 21-year old Burke is a product of the Hammers youth development system and has progressed through the ranks of the club, having joined back in 2003.

Burke does boast 12 first team appearances for West Ham but was sent out on loan during the summer to Championship outfit Bolton Wanderers in order to gain more first team experience.

He has managed to make 15 appearances for Phil Parkinson’s side and his performances have reportedly attracted interest from other clubs in the second tier of English football.

Bolton are said to want to keep Burke for the remainder of the season but the likes of Barnsley, Derby County, Nottingham Forest, Sheffield United and Sunderland are all also keen.

Burke is now back at the Hammers after his loan spell with Bolton ended and it remains to be seen what David Moyes will decide to do with him for the rest of the season.
