Speaking after his side’s goalless draw against Nottingham Forest on New Year’s Day, Leeds United manager Thomas Christiansen said that his team deserved to win the contest.
“Today it was clear that we deserved the three points, we did almost everything to get them,” Christiansen said.
“I am happy with the players’ intent to take the three points. But there a wall inside the goal – we had good, big opportunities to take the win, but unfortunately we only go away with one point.
“I believe that we created enough chances to take the three points.”
The Whites came the closest of the two sides to finding the back of the net as Kemar Roofe hit the bar during the second half while Pablo Hernandez forced a good save from Forest goalkeeper Jordan Smith late on.
Forest, who are currently without a manager delivered a gutsy performance, and they can take pride from claiming a draw against the Yorkshire giants who are aiming to win a place in the promotion playoffs.
