Everton man reportedly wanted by West Ham – exit dependent on N’Zonzi’s arrival

As per The Mirror, West Ham United are keen on bringing Everton defensive midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin to the Goodison Park in January, and manager Sam Allardyce could sanction a move.

The Hammers top target remains a quality man capable of running the affairs in deep midfield, and a £20million move is being mulled over the France international.

However, Schneiderlin’s exit could depend on his fellow Frenchman Steven N’Zonzi.

The Sevilla man is being linked with a January arrival, and that would see the ex-Manchester United man become surplus to requirements.

Despite making 14 Premier League appearances this term, Schneiderlin, 28, isn’t the first name on the team sheet and hasn’t been a regular in the XI since erstwhile boss Ronald Koeman departed.

N’Zonzi is clearly an upgrade on the former Southampton midfielder given how he has been frequently called up to the national team, and Everton shouldn’t hesitate to cash in on Schneiderlin to fund his move.

Even without the La Liga star, the Toffees appear to have quite enough cover in midfield to go the remainder of the campaign without Schneiderlin, and it wouldn’t hurt to let him go.
