Ray Wilkins has said that he does not believe that Everton midfielder Ross Barkley would be a good signing for Chelsea.
When speaking about whether Barkley would be a good signing for Chelsea, Wilkins said: “I don’t see it as a fit. I want to see Ross Barkley playing for Sam Allardyce.”
Barkley has yet to sign a new deal with the Toffees and with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, the club will have no choice but to try and sell him in January or else they could risk losing him for free at the end of the season.
The 24-year old Barkley was on the verge of joining Chelsea during the summer transfer window before the deal collapsed after he had a change of heart.
Chelsea will be looking to make new signings in January as they look to improve their fortunes during the second half of the season.
