Napoli and Tottenham reportedly battling to sign £25 million-rated talented full-back

According to reports, Napoli and Tottenham are keeping tabs on Benfica fullback Alex Grimaldo.

Both clubs are looking for new left-backs and may need to fork out in January in order to recruit one.

Spurs are expected to lose Danny Rose in the near future who has been linked with a move to Manchester United and they will need to sign a replacement for the England international.

Meanwhile Napoli’s first choice left-back Faouzi Ghoulam is currently out injured and they will may need to consider signing a reinforcement in that area.

The 22-year-old Grimaldo, who is a product of the Barcelona youth development system, has a value of an estimated £25 million.

Grimaldo is a talented player who has represented Spain at U-21 level. However his fitness issues is something that is concerning. He missed 33 matches of Benfica’s 2016-17 season due to injury due to injury.
