Windass says why Rangers cannot be ruled out of title race

Josh Windass has said that Rangers cannot be ruled out of the Scottish Premier League title race this season after they closed the gap between themselves and first placed Celtic to just five points.

“Who knows? They had an unbelievable season last year and they’ve obviously started this season really well, they’re six or seven points in front of us or whatever it is so they’ve obviously started this season brilliantly,” he told Rangers’ official YouTube channel, when asked if Celtic could be caught.

The Hoops convincingly won the title last season and remained unbeaten in the process. They have continued to remain unbeaten this season.

However, Rangers have gained momentum during recent weeks and moved up to second place on the standings and picking up three wins in a row.

Though Celtic have a game in hand, they have won just one out of their past three games and Windass suggested that the Gers could catch their counterparts.
