Tottenham and Everton reportedly keen on signature of 38-goals-in-31-games Kane-admiring teenage sensation

17-year-old Hamburg striker Jann-Fiete Arp keeps attracting top suitors from the Premier League, with Everton and Tottenham being the latest to express interests.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are already keeping tabs on the Germany youth international who entered into the record books in October as the first player born in the 2000s to play and score in the Bundesliga.

Of Arp’s current EPL suitors, no one has a more impressive track record of handing youngsters opportunities more than Spurs and the Toffees.

The teenage sensation, often likened to German legend Miroslav Klose and Spurs hitman Harry Kane actually admires the Englishman, and did say of him: “There are many good strikers that you can learn a lot from by watching. But if there was just one player I had to pick as my role model, it’s Harry Kane.

“He plays the way I want to play. He’s pacy and very comfortable with and without the ball. It’s difficult to stop him. You need to pay attention for 90 minutes because he can score at any time.”

Arp might not be willing to turn down a chance to learn from Kane if Spurs come calling, and apart from 2 goals in 6 league starts this term, his record of 26 goals in 21 games for Hamburg’s under-17s last season, 7 goals in 5 games for Germany’s under-17s at the Euros, and another 5 in 5 games during October’s World Cup in India attest to his brilliance.

Arp, a 6 ft 2 in finisher is bound to leave Hamburg sooner or later, and the highest bidder, or club able to guarantee him regular minutes will likely come out tops in the race for his services.

Everton and Tottenham will have to play their cards right to land their man.
