According to reports, Crystal Palace are eyeing a possible deal for Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud during the January transfer window but could be set to face competition from West Ham.
The French international has fallen down the pecking order at the Gunners this season and has yet to start a Premier League game following the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette.
He was heavily linked with a move to Everton during the summer and a report published by The Sunday People even claims that the Toffees had even agreed a transfer fee of £40 million, however Arsene Wenger intervened and prevented the transfer.
Giroud’s chances of making the France squad for the 2018 World Cup is under threat and at this stage, a move away from the Emirates will be the best thing if he wants to represent his country at the global showpiece.
The report adds that Giroud and his wife Jennifer are expecting their third child and that they wish to remain in London.
