Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has revealed who he thinks is one of the World’s best players and no it is not Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.
Speaking after his team’s 5-1 victory against Stoke on Saturday, the Argentina said that Harry Kane is “one of the best, if not the best” when it comes to the World’s best strikers.
“Yes for me, he is one of the best, if not the best,” Pochettino said speaking in the post-match press conference.
“There is no doubt for me. But even if he hadn’t scored today I wouldn’t have changed my mind, for me he is one of the best.
“It’s a fantastic record because he’s scored a lot of goals this year.”
The 24-year-old Kane has firmly established himself as one of the World’s best players after finishing the past two seasons as Premier League top scorer.
He has managed to continue his good form into this season and has so far scored 18 goals in all competitions.
The England international was this week named as the 10th best player according to Balon d’or voting.
N’Golo Kante was the only UK based player to outrank Kane in eighth.
