Everton plotting surprise swoop for Mancherster United target

According to reports, Everton could be set to launch an ambitious bid for Tottenham defender Danny Rose.

Comments made by new Toffees boss Sam Allardyce about Rose in the past may also increase the chances of a deal happening.

Allardyce had a very short tenure as manager of the England national team last year and during that time he did mentioned that Rose was a player within his squad who had surprised him more than any other.

“Danny Rose at left-back,” he told Monday Night Football on Sky Sports back in September.

“He pulled a hamstring and never said anything until after the game was finished, which wasn’t very pleasing for Tottenham and Mauricio Pochettino as I know, but for me, that showed real character because we only won in the last minute.”

Rose’s relationship with Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino appears to have turned sour and he is now expected to leave the club either in January or at the end of the season.
