Former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood has delivered an emphatic message to his former club as a result of their recent struggles.
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has come under pressure for the first time at the helm of the Lilywhites as the club have claimed just one point from their previous three League encounters.
Tottenham recorded losses against North London rivals Arsenal and Leicester City while they drew against West Brom. Spurs currently occupy seventh position and are four points adrift of the Champions League spots.
They face a tricky game against Watford on Saturday and will know that a win can get their season back on track.
“I just think things are not going for them at the moment, I think there were two wonder goals from Leicester… Tottenham still had enough chances to win that game but just never took them,” Sherwood told The Debate.
“I don’t think they’re playing badly, I just think at the moment they’re not getting the rub of the green, it’s not going for them.
“I’m not making excuses… I don’t think Wembley is an excuse… I think he’s a great manager, he’s got a great set of players – I think it’s the best set of players he’s had since he’s been at the club.
“I believe he will turn it around and I believe he will get (Spurs) where they should be and that’s in the top four.
“There is minor issues, but every club has issues, but do not panic, stay calm and everything will be fine, just don’t panic.”
