According to a report published by The Mirror, Benfica manager Rui Vitoria has emerged as a new contender for the Everton managerial vacancy.
Vitoria has been successful during his two years so far in charge of the Portuguese giants and has won the Portuguese League twice as well as the Portugal Cup and League Cup.
He has also won the Super Cup Candido Oliveira twice which takes his trophy tally over the past two seasons to six.
He has also played a role in the successes and transfers of players such as Nelson Semedo, Ederson, Victor Lindlof, Goncalo Guedes and Renato Sanches.
Vitoria is said to be keen on making a switch to England. Though his credentials are impressive, what could work against him is the fact that he has never managed in England.
The Toffees are likely to rather prefer hiring a manager who has Premier League experience considering their current situation.
