Liverpool star Sadio Mane has played down his reported rift with manager Jurgen Klopp.
Mane, who has been in top form so far this season, was surprisingly left out of the Reds match day squad that drew against Chelsea during the weekend and this led to him being unhappy.
The Senegal international was eventually introduced into the game during the second half after Willian had equalized for Chelsea along with Adam Lallana and after the game he could be seen engaging in a discussion with Klopp.
Despite what happened, Mane has insisted that there is no rift going on between himself and Klopp. He said, “He [Klopp] asked me to play on the right side and one time I tried to ask for the ball in the number nine position.
“Mo [Salah] was on my side and the coach was shouting ‘Sadio come onto the right side’. After the game I told the coach it was easier if you told Mo to come in because he was close to you.
“But it was friendly, it was not because I was unhappy or something else. There was no problem, I was just communicating and explaining that to him after the game.”
