Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has admitted that he is expecting to receive offers for Arsenal and Tottenham linked Wilfried Zaha during the January transfer window.
Tottenham had a long-standing interest in recruiting Zaha before he opted to sign a new five year deal with Palace.
Palace will naturally be hesitant to part ways with the attacker considering that he is one of their most talented players and also because they look be set to be involved in the relegation dogfight this season.
Should Palace end up getting relegated at the end of the season however, it will be hard to see Zaha remaining put at Selhurst Park.
Currently it looks like Alexis Sanchez is going to leave Arsenal at the end of the season as he has yet to extend his current deal at the club which will expire at the end of this season. The Gunners could be viewing the 25-year-old Zaha as a replacement for the Chile international.
When asked if he expects to receive offers for Zaha, Hodgson said: “He is an obvious name but there are other players, too. I would not be surprised if other players were wanted or thought could be good additions. We have to be prepared for that.
“If offers come along for players who are doing well for us that we are not particularly anxious to lose, decisions will have to be made by the club as to what offers are to be turned down and what offers are to be accepted.”
