West Ham handed crushing blow ahead of Leicester clash as duo ruled out

West Ham host Leicester City on Friday night and will be hoping to get their first win in 6 games.

The Hammers won just 2 of their opening 7 games, and are currently in the relegation zone.

The Foxes haven’t exactly fared well either, winning just thrice thus far and West Ham do have a chance to grab their 3rd win of the Premier League campaign.

David Moyes needs to start picking up valuable points on time, but the new manager has been dealt a huge blow ahead of his 1st home game.

Michail Antonio and James Collins have both returned to full training sessions having recovered from injuries, but they won’t be making Friday’s squad as they are short of match fitness.

Moyes revealed in his pre-game conference: “Hernandez we are hoping will start running next week. Collins and Antonio won’t play, they are short of match practice.”

The England winger last played against Crystal Palace, but suffered a rib injury that kept him out of training afterwards.

The Welsh centre-back hasn’t featured since getting withdrawn during the goalless draw against West Brom in September when he picked up an ankle injury.

However, the duo should be available for selection next midweek when the Hammers travel to Goodison Park to face Everton.
