Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has suggested that Everton should appoint Marco Silva as their next manager.
The Toffees have been without a manager since they parted ways with Ronald Koeman following their 5-2 defeat against Arsenal in the Premier League. Since then David Unsworth has been leading the club on a temporary basis.
Though Unsworth is a candidate to get the managerial position on a full-time basis, the club has so far won just one out of their five games played under him thus far and this is problematic.
Everton meanwhile have earmarked Silva as a candidate to become their next manager and have made a number of approaches to Watford all of which were rejected.
When Carragher was asked about who should be appointed new Everton boss, he replied saying: “Marco Silva.”
The Toffees need to make big improvements if they want to avoid relegation this season and therefore appointing a new manager as soon as possible should be a priority.
