Gary Lineker has slammed critics of Arsenal star Mesut Ozil following the German’s performance in the Premier League against Tottenham on Saturday.
The Gunners went on to win the game 2-0 after a dominant display through goals from Shkodran Mustafi and Alexis Sanchez.
It was Ozil who teed up Mustafi for the opening goal as he delivered a pin-point free-kick from the left flank. Chile international Sanchez scored the second after he bustled in a cross from Alexandre Lacazette.
Lineker may have a point in that the player is a class act as was proven by his performance against Spurs who are one of the best teams in England.
He’s a class act. Just because he doesn’t charge around like a headless chicken he’s seen as lacking commitment. Utter tosh. https://t.co/9LYk531l2H

Ozil has been criticized due to commitment issues. While he does launch promising attacks going forward, he sometimes looks hesitant to run back towards his own goal.
He has however failed to deliver during far too many big matches for the Gunners and so the criticism is somewhat justified.
