Everton boss speaks about the commitment of Mirallas and Schneiderlin

Everton interim boss David Unsworth has said that Kevin Mirallas and Morgan Schneiderlin remain committed members of his squad.

The duo were dropped from the match day squad for the clubs previous game which was a 3-2 victory over Watford as a result of an incident that had occurred in training the day before.

Both players have since spoken out and criticized the media for the way in which they omission from the Everton squad for the last game was handled.

Unsworth addressed the matter while speaking ahead of his side’s Premier League game against Crystal Palace on Saturday and said: “There’s a lot that’s been written that was wrong, that was false.

“I’ve seen both players’ comments, which I fully support. It was something and nothing. Both were given an option of finishing their training and that was absolutely fine.

“In this day and age, you can’t sneeze without people finding things out. There’s no real story. Both players will be available for selection. As far as I’m concerned, there is no story there.”
