Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho has declared himself fit for the friendly international between Brazil and England.
Coutinho has had to sit out Liverpool’s last three games due to a thigh injury and also did not play during Brazil’s 3-1 victory over Japan on Friday.
However the 25 year old is set to put his fitness at risk and play for his country during their game against England on Tuesday.
Coutinho has featured irregularly for the Reds this season and has made just nine appearances in all competitions which has included featuring in less than half of the clubs Premier League games.
While Brazil’s medical staff claims that Coutinho is nearing full fitness, this could be a cause of frustration and anger to the Liverpool staff especially given that the player abandoned his rehabilitation schedule at Melwood to join the Brazil squad.
Coutinho’s actions this season will only further fuel speculation that he wants to move away from Liverpool.
