West Ham co-owner David Gold has taken advantage of Twitter’s new 280 character limit message rule by sending a message to fans of his club following the appointment of David Moyes on Tuesday.
Moyes was appointed as new manager of the Hammers on Tuesday following the sacking of Slaven Bilic on Monday.
Many fans of the club were disappointed by this given the fact that Moyes last three managerial spells with the likes of Manchester United, Real Sociedad and Sunderland were largely viewed as being unsuccessful.
The Hammers are currently struggling and are languishing in 18th position on the standings after taking 9 points from their opening 11 games of the season but nonetheless, Gold has encouraged fans of the club to have faith in Moyes.
He said: “Hello all West Ham fans, the board have made their decision to appoint David Moyes as the new manager can I ask you to get behind him and the team to help push us up the table to safety. Together I believe we can achieve our dreams. dg.”
