Liverpool man rejected a chance to leave Anfield over the summer

According to reports, Liverpool second choice goalkeeper Loris Karius rejected the opportunity to leave the club during the summer transfer window.

The 24 year old Karius joined the Reds from Mainz during the summer of 2016. He has been given his fair share off opportunities but has so far not been able to usurp Simon Mignolet as the clubs first choice.

Mignolet has come under his fair share of criticism and as a result, Karius is viewed as a future first choice keeper. He is still young and still does have time to iron out errors in his game.

It has now been revealed that German club Augsburg made a move for Karius during the summer but he instead opted to stay put and fight for the first choice position at the Reds.

Jurgen Klopp is known to be a fan of Karius and it remains to be seen if he will ever become the clubs first choice.
