Javier Hernandez happy to get away from West Ham United

Javier Hernandez has admitted that he is happy to have gotten away from West Ham. Chicharito is currently on duty with the Mexican national team.

West Ham meanwhile have been struggling this season and are currently languishing in 18th position on the Premier League standings after taking just nine points from 11 games.

Hernandez previously worked with new Hammers boss David Moyes whilst at Manchester United and did not enjoy the best of times under him.

It was under Moyes that Hernandez fell down the pecking order at United which eventually led to his transfer to German club Bayer Leverkusen.

He said: “I am very eager to play as my club don’t take me much into account. I hope I have the opportunity to play.

“When you are called up, you have to be thankful and if not called up, you have to keep working. I am very happy and thankful with this call-up, like I was when I was called up for the first time.”
