Football pundit Chris Sutton has said that former West Ham and England manager Sam Allardyce is the ideal manager to rescue Everton this season.
“It smells of Sam Allardyce, doesn’t it?” Sutton told , “This is a job for Sam Allardyce – they are in such poor form, you can’t see them winning a game. They need a firefighter.”
The Toffees were expecting big things this season after spending more than £140 million on buying new players during the summer.
They are however currently struggling and are languishing in 18th position on the League standings after taking just eight points from their opening ten fixtures.
Allardyce is currently without a job after resigning from the managerial position at Crystal Palace after saving the club from relegation last season.
Considering that he has a reputation for saving clubs from relegation and bringing out the best in players who are low in confidence, Allardyce would be the perfect managerial choice at this point.
