Star provides Everton a huge injury boost

Everton have received a boost as Yannick Bolasie is nearing a return to action, 11 months after sustaining a cruciate ligament injury whilst playing against Manchester United.

Though Bolasie’s return has not yet been confirmed, the club will be hoping that he can help boost their fortunes. The Toffees are currently struggling in the League and have taken just eight points from ten games thus far.

They are currently in the relegation zone and if things do not improve soon, they may have to be part of the relegation scrap this season.

The Merseyside club also suffered a confidence blow this week as they were eliminated from the Europa League by Lyon.

Speaking about his return to action, Bolasie said: “I tend to distance myself [when I’m injured] but now that I am getting there, I am starting to watch and go to games again and I feel like I am close, and that is the main thing.

“It’s been almost a year but I don’t think of it like that because in that year I have been given the chance to develop myself and develop things I would have taken for granted before.

“That has taken up my time and the whole package has come together, so I’m buzzing, really, and happy with where I am at. I want to come back feeling refreshed and hungry.”
