Everton caretaker boss David Unsworth has hit back at the vicious personal attack leveled at him by the controversial and outspoken Joey Barton, who currently works as a pundit for TalkSport.
Unsworth has served as interim manager of the Toffees since last week after the club sacked Ronald Koeman and they have lost both matches under him so far, in the Carabao Cup against Chelsea and in the Premier League this weekend against Leicester.
Unsworth, who manages the Everton under 23 side, has been tipped to possibly take charge on a full-time basis and Barton, who is a fan of the Toffees, does not want to see that happen.
He even went as far as labeling the 44 year old a ‘glorified PE teacher who should not be in charge of a men’s team’.
Unsworth has however hit back at the clubs of Barton by saying, “It’s not a problem what Joey Barton says. I couldn’t care less.”
