Newcastle legend Alan Shearer has praised Crystal Palace for the way that they played during their 2-2 Premier League draw against West Ham on Saturday. Shearer added that he felt that the Eagles fully deserved the point that they got and possibly more.
It looked as though Palace were headed for yet another defeat before Wilfried Zaha managed to score late during the second half to seal a draw.
The result means that Palace remain rooted to the bottom of the table with just four points from 10 games. They face a tough fixture against Tottenham next week and will have to try and get something from the game.
Shearer was happy with the way that Palace played during their match against West Ham United, by saying, “Wilfried Zaha deserved the goal for his second half performance, he was a constant threat and it was a good finish from him.
“And if it wasn’t for Joe Hart, they probably deserved more. Behind like that at half time, they were looking for characters, and Roy [Hodgson] will have learnt a lot about his players.”
