According to reports, West Ham United and Leicester City could be set to battle in the race to appoint former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini.
Both sides have started the season in poor form. Leicester recently parted ways with Craig Shakespeare while the Hammers are also said to be on the verge of parting ways with Slaven Bilic.
As a former Premier League title winner, Pellegrini is considered to be one of the best managers that could be available at this stage.
Though he is currently working with Chinese club Hebei China Fortune, the 64 year old may be tempted by an opportunity to manage in England again.
West Ham and Leicester are also said to be interested in appointing Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner though the German has reportedly said that he wishes to remain manager of the Terriers for now.
The Hammers are also interested in Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez though the Spaniard is likely to want to remain with the Magpies at least until the end of the season.
