Crystal Palace winger, Wilfried Zaha, has been tipped by pundit Tony Cascarino to play in the Champions League one day with Tottenham Hotspur, as reported by News Shopper.
Zaha moved back to Palace following an unsuccessful spell with Manchester United in 2015 after failing to make an impact for the Red Devils but ever since his return to Selhurst Park, the tricky winger has been a success story.
The 24-year-old has established himself as the star-man at Palace following his return, with last season being especially eventful for the Ivory Coast international as he played a starring role in helping the Eagles avoid relegation.
This good form for Palace last season has led many to tip Zaha to make a step-up from the Eagles and play for a genuinely top side.
One of the pundits who has tipped Zaha for greater things is former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino as he revealed in a recent interview about his belief regarding the winger being good enough to play in the Champions League with top teams such as Tottenham Hotspur.
He told the Times: “Zaha was the golden boy at Palace before he joined Manchester United and was sidelined by David Moyes. He didn’t feel any love at Old Trafford.
“It’s clear as day that Zaha is a Champions League player – just look at his performance and goal for Palace against Chelsea.
“He should be playing for a Champions League team but he needs an arm around the shoulder. He was at United at the wrong time and if he were there now, he would not look out of place.
“He would be cheap at £30m and I think he could do a job for any of the elite teams — Chelsea, the Manchester clubs, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.”
Zaha has all the qualities to become a success for Tottenham due to his blistering pace as well as tricky footwork and the Lilywhites could well look to revive their interest in the attacking during the foreseeable future.
