West Ham board set to discuss the future of beleaguered Bilic

According to reports published by Sky, the West Ham board and owners are set to discuss the future of manager Slaven Bilic.

The Hammers have so far been underwhelming this season and they have now taken just nine points from their opening eight games following Friday’s 3-0 defeat against Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Hammers currently occupy 17th position on the standings and have made their worst start to the season since 2010.

It is understood that the owners and board will ponder whether to sack the Croatian now or give him two more games against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday and against Crystal Palace in the League next week to try and save his job.

Following the defeat against the Seagulls, Bilic said: “It is very hard for me to say anything clever in this moment apart from it’s very disappointing. As manager I take full responsibility.”
