According to reports, West Ham linked Jack Wilshere could leave Arsenal during the January transfer window in order to revive his hopes of making the England squad for the 2018 World Cup.
The 25 year old Wilshere was once touted as the future of the England national team but has sadly seen his progress as a player curtailed by a series of injuries.
His contract with the Gunners is set to expire at the end of the season and given that he is not getting regular game time, he could leave the club in January in order to try and push for a place in the England squad during next summer’s World Cup.
Since recovering from a fractured leg sustained during his loan spell with Bournemouth last season, Wilshere has impressed and starred during the Gunners 4-2 victory over BATE Borisov in the Europa League.
He will however require playing time in the top flight if he wants to achieve his dream of playing for England at the World Cup and that looks unlikely to happen as long as he is an Arsenal player.
