According to reports, West Ham have informed striker Diafra Sakho that he will be presented with a new contract offer if he continues to perform this season.
Sakho has been on good form recently scoring in his last three games for club and country including a winner during the Hammers last Premier League match against Swansea which relieved pressure off manager Slaven Bilic.
The contract of the Senegal international is set to expire at the end of the season and the Hammers are said to be impressed by the professionalism that he has shown during recent weeks.
Following the arrivals of Marko Arnautovic at the East London club during the summer, Sakho reportedly pushed for a transfer to French club Rennes, however Hammers co-owner David Sullivan informed the player that he was a vital part of their plans and therefore could not be sold.
It is now up to Sakho to deliver if he wants to secure himself a new deal.
