Leeds reportedly keeping tabs on EPL-target currently lighting up the Eredivisie

According to Football Insider, Leeds United have continued to monitor the Dutch leagues following the summer recruitments of Jay-Roy Grot and Mateusz Klich.

The Peacocks have now identified Groningen attacker Mimoun Mahi as their next target ahead of the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old has been in fine form in the last one and half year, banging in 21 league goals in his last 39 games.

Mahi has caught the eyes of scouts all around Europe as a result, and Swansea attempted to sign him last January.

In order to finish the campaign on a strong note, Leeds want to further reinforce their attack when the winter transfer market opens, and manager Thomas Christiansen will consider Mahi should he keep up his form until then.

The Morocco international has 18 months left on his current contract with Groningen, and the Eredivisie club won’t hesitate to cash in on him if the price is right.

Mahi’s finishing and defensive contribution make him a perfect fit for English football, and he should have no problem whatsoever hitting the ground running if a move to Elland Road goes through.
