Liverpool plotting move for 25-year-old Dutch international; Arsenal and Everton also interested

According to reports, Liverpool are interested in signing Spartak Moscow striker Quincy Promes.

The Reds had been keen on signing the 25 year old last year but negotiations between the clubs failed to materialize.  In addition to interest from the Reds, Promes is also reported to have attracted attention from Arsenal and Everton.

He is currently contracted with the Russian club until 2021 and the prospect of Premier League football and the opportunity to earn increased wages will surely appeal to him. The Dutch international boasts an impressive record for Moscow of 49 League goals from 94 games.

Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of the player and when talking about him last month, the German said, “He’s a good player, a very good player but there’s nothing else to say. There are a lot of good players that we have already.

“We already have a Dutch player (GiniWijnaldum) who knows him really well so obviously they are good friends but this is not the place to talk about this. He’s a good player but a Spartak player.”
