Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been tipped as a possible candidate to succeed Carlo Ancelotti as coach of Bayern Munich.
The former AC Milan and Chelsea boss Ancelotti was sacked as manager of Munich following their 3-0 loss against PSG on Wednesday.
Bayern CEO Karl Heinz Rummenigge issued a statement regarding Ancelotti’s departure saying, “The performances of the team since the season start did not correspond to the expectations.”
Willy Sagnol, who joined the club as assistant at the beginning of this season, will take charge temporarily and will oversee the clubs game against Hertha Berlin this weekend.
Now along with former Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini, Klopp has been tipped as a possible candidate to replace Ancelotti.
It will come as a surprise should Klopp just suddenly depart the Reds and link up with the German giants.
Though the job may be appealing to him, it is unlikely that he will leave under current circumstances and should he do so, it will be bound to disappoint millions of Liverpool fans.
