West Ham and Tottenham reportedly keen on highly-rated English striking sensation

As per The Sun, London giants West Ham and Tottenham are keen on Walsall 17-year-old striker Mitch Candlin, as both sides have constantly scouted the English teenager of recent.

Candlin became the 3rd youngest player ever to turn out in the League One upon making his debut back in April, and his swift rise and growth since signing his first professional contract have attracted the Premier League duo.

The youngster has also established himself as a regular in the Saddlers first-team, and was called up to link up with the England Under-18’s in training of recent.

Standing at 6 ft, Candlin is a highly talented forward with a sharp eye for goals, while he is also well-rounded in his game.

Spurs’ recent love for youngsters is well-documented, and manager Mauricio Pochettino will be more than glad to turn the Walsall kid into the next Harry Kane.

The Hammers on the other hand recruit youngsters mainly for their youth teams, in the hope of turning them into quality first-team materials going forward.

It’s going to be a stiff tussle between both Londoners for Candlin, and a couple of other topflight and Championship are also likely to join the race for his signature as his stocks continue to increase in the coming months.
