Gordon Strachan explains why Celtic star must be made angry

Scotland national team boss Gordon Strachan has claimed that making Celtic captain Scott Brown angry makes him play better.

These comments came in light of the touchline disagreement between Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha and Brown which happened this week during the Old Firm derby which Celtic won 2-0.

After being angered by Brown’s challenge on Alfredo Morales, Caixinha stormed onto the pitch to confront the Celtic captain as he believes that his player had been elbowed.

Strachan named Brown in his squad to play against Slovakia and Slovenia in World Cup qualifiers and he believes that the incident will help the player to perform better.

He said, “There are some players who, if you make them angry, they get better. There are some players – and I’m not just talking about Broony – that making them angry makes them better. They become more focused.”

Meanwhile the win for the Hoops extended their lead over their Old Firm counterparts to eight points.
