Leeds United boss Thomas Christiansen has revealed that he will be kind to Chris Wood should his team cross paths with their former striker during their match against Burnley in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.
Wood was a key player for the Whites and finished as top goal scorer for the club during the past two consecutive seasons.
After the Yorkshire giants failed to win promotion last season, he opted to join Burnley in order to fulfill his dream of playing in the Premier League.
The New Zealand international has managed to continue his good form for the Clarets and has manage to net two goals from his first three Premier League games for the club.
While talking about the possibility of being reunited with Wood, Christiansen has now said, “I don’t know if he will play, but if he plays and I see him then I’ll say hello to him. He’s a very good player.
“He’s a goal-getter and he has started well in his team and if he will play then we know which type of player he is.”
