Leeds fans urge Christiansen to start with 24-year-old star against Burton

By and large, Leeds United fans have been made to be very happy this summer with both quantity and quality of their transfer signings.

However, they aren’t so thrilled at the prospect of seeing German striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga walk straight into the team in place of Kemar Roofe. Here are a couple of tweets about the situation:

So, the consensus is that Roofe, just named Championship Player of the Month no less, shouldn’t be dropped. However, the debate is whether he should start up top or on the wing.

The common sense approach is to keep things the same and have him go at it again from the front for them. He’s played so well there that he at least deserves 60-70 minutes to find the breakthrough.

From there, Lasogga can come on if needed. This is a problem in the making for Leeds if they allow him to just waltz in over Roofe, and it’s not a good idea to just send the message that one can lose their spot without results on the pitch.
