Callum McManaman has revealed that he is looking forward to getting Sunderland fans off their seats this season.
The 26-year-old joined the Black Cats from Premier League club West Brom on transfer deadline day and is looking to rediscover his best form under Simon Grayson.
It was at Wigan Athletic that McManaman made a name for himself and he helped he club shockingly win the FA Cup in 2014.
After earning himself a move to West Brom in 2015, he never really managed to establish himself within the club’s first team and was shipped out on loan to Sheffield Wednesday last season.
McManaman is however confident that he can deliver at the Stadium of Light and said, “I’m made up to get it done. It’s been hard over the last year not playing, so I am happy to get it done and looking to get playing again and enjoying it.
“I want to get back to playing every week, get myself going and get back to where I was. It’s a massive club and a massive fanbase and you notice that as a player.
“You want to play in front of big support and you can see how passionate they are. The stadium and the facilities – everybody can see it is a Premier League club – so I am looking forward to getting going.”
